Manchester Lindy on BBC Breakfast with Scottie!

Manchester Lindy were pleased to join Scott Cupit on BBC Breakfast. Scott talked Swing dance, Lindy Hop and Frankie Manning while we had a little dance outside on the Quays.

We’ve gained lots of new members and met many new friends, so thank so much for asking us, Scottie!

If you weren’t up early enough, you can catch up up with what you missed on YouTube, following the links below.

Manchester Lindy’s dancing on the BBC breakfast show has also snuck onto Swing Nation in their Scott Cupit interview. You’ll see the brief clip around 19:40.

Thanks to Mark for spotting us!

(and who is that starring in the I Charleston Jersey clip? Why, only Daniel, one of the founding Manchester Lindy Committee Members! Glad you are still dancing!)

January News

TrishaandScottWow, what a week! Not only did we resume our regular Tuesday night session but we also welcomed Trisha Sewell and Scott Cupit back to MCR for a whole weekend’s worth of amazing Lindy Hopping!

Trisha and Scott are inspirational dancers and clear, concise and fun teachers – they blend authenticity and creativity seamlessly and best of all, happily share their skills with others.

Here are just a few of the lovely comments made by Manchester Lindy members about Trisha and Scott’s Manchester Workshop:

Thanks for a brilliant day – fab workshop by Scott and Trisha, and a great night at the social! Lots of fun! 🙂

Thank you to Manchester Lindy people for organising this, Scott and Trisha’s workshop was fantastic and the social afterwards was so much fun. What a great building too!

As for this week, well, if you can’t wait ’til Tuesday for your next dancing fix, why not try KNT Danceworks’ Tap at The Dancehouse (Beginners, Monday, 7.30pm with Ailsa Baker)?
